"This important wine is the product of clay and iron-rich soils. The wine is dark
and dense with lingering flavors of black cherry and exotic spice."

Alghero D.O.C.

A complex nose suggest both the complexity of the Cannonau and the strength of the Cabernet with hints of oak. A well-structured palate with smooth, complex tannins and balanced acidity.

Production Area
From vineyards located in the southeast corner of the Sella & Mosca estate. The soil is strong in clay and rich in iron.

Grape Varieties
50% Cannonau, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Both grape varieties are harvested manually and mechanically from September through October at the peak of maturity. After crushing, each variety undergoes a three-day cold maceration, followed by a temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats at 72°-82°F for ten days. Only in the final phase of fermentation are the two varieties blended together. Aging: Three years, at first in barriques and then in traditional large Slavonian oak casks kept in cool dark cellars. Aged a further 12 months in bottle prior to release.
